Best Candles for Slow Mornings
Share
There was a time when mornings in our house moved at full speed.
With five children, there wasn't much room for lingering. Breakfast had to be made. Lunches packed. Shoes found. Backpacks gathered. Everyone needed to be out the door on time.
Those mornings were full in the best way.
They were simply different from the mornings I know today.
Now, the house wakes up a little more gently.
My husband is usually awake before I am. Before I even open my eyes, Ollie has already claimed his spot beside me for a few extra minutes. It's one of my favorite ways to begin the day.
By the time I make my way to the kitchen, there's often a cup of coffee waiting for me. Some mornings my husband surprises me with his French toast casserole. Other mornings it's pancakes.
While we enjoy breakfast together, I usually check Leveiza emails and see what the new day has in store.
Later, we'll take Ollie for a walk before settling into our own routines.
It's a quiet beginning.
Not because there's nothing to do.
But because we've learned there's value in beginning the day without rushing through it.
That's what slow mornings have come to mean for me.
Rise
Every morning is a fresh beginning.
With notes of lemon, lavender, and musk, Rise was created for those first quiet moments before the day fully begins.
Aspire
Once the coffee is finished and the day starts taking shape, Aspire is the candle I reach for when it's time to focus, create, and begin the work ahead.
Learn
Some mornings invite us to keep learning.
Whether it's reading a few pages of a book, exploring something new, or simply making time to be curious, Learn is a reminder that every day offers another opportunity to grow.
Beginning the Day Well
A slow morning doesn't have to be long.
Sometimes it's ten quiet minutes with a cup of coffee.
A walk with the dog.
Breakfast with someone you love.
A few deep breaths before opening your laptop.
However your morning begins, those first moments often set the tone for everything that follows.
Perhaps that's why I've come to treasure them so much.
They're a gentle reminder that the day doesn't have to start in a hurry.
Sometimes the best way to begin is simply to be present.
